Billing
Because of Jon’s background, the firm understands billing, and can easily catch oversights. VBS does everything it needs to do when it comes to billing out professional or institutional forms. The firm adheres to CMS guidelines in order to follow suit and bills according to exactly what each insurance company requires, whether it’s down to REV code or CPT code or HCPCS code – whatever the insurance company wants, VBS delivers.
Collections
VBS has a talented team of collections people. The firm assigns collectors, utilizes a running sheet, and creates follow-up dates per claim. This company has successfully varied it’s process when catering to the needs of each client’s AR, no matter how large or small. As soon as claims are billed, VBS tracks them for payment. After roughly thirty days (varying processing times per insurance company), if the claim isn’t paid, follow up calls are made. An automated notice also follows up with claims that haven’t been paid. VBS makes on average, between 125-150 follow up claim calls per day, and has an exceptional success rate of getting those claims paid. When claims are denied or receive low payment, VBS is quick to follow-up and or overturn the decision. Knowledge of policies and their respective payments for a multitude of services, is a strong-suit for the team. The firm has tried and true systems in place, and its success rates are absolutely consistent.
Consulting and Credentialing
The VBS team has a strength and knowledge of credentialing facilities. The firm can also teach a center to understand just how much it costs to open new facilities (inpatient or outpatient) and/or laboratories – essentially, anything that has to do with the behavioral health industry, VBS can help.
