VBS has a talented team of collections people. The firm assigns collectors, utilizes a running sheet, and creates follow-up dates per claim. This company has successfully varied it’s process when catering to the needs of each client’s AR, no matter how large or small. As soon as claims are billed, VBS tracks them for payment. After roughly thirty days (varying processing times per insurance company), if the claim isn’t paid, follow up calls are made. An automated notice also follows up with claims that haven’t been paid. VBS makes on average, between 125-150 follow up claim calls per day, and has an exceptional success rate of getting those claims paid. When claims are denied or receive low payment, VBS is quick to follow-up and or overturn the decision. Knowledge of policies and their respective payments for a multitude of services, is a strong-suit for the team. The firm has tried and true systems in place, and its success rates are absolutely consistent.

While VBS does offer these services as a third party, experience proves that it is much more beneficial/sensible for the provider to have it’s Utilization Reviewer or Utilization Team, on the premises. This enables the Reviewer to actually get to know and form a relationship with the in-house client. A personal touch makes all the difference with Utilization Review.
